#Entrepreneurship@Jawhar

As the rural economy is slowly bouncing back to normalcy after the pandemic, it is very important that we support the people in their effort to seek alternate sources of livelihood, thereby increasing their household income…..

The #Entrepreneurship@Jawhar, is a program conceptualized with the Integrated Tribal Development Project, Jawhar to encourage the spirit of Entrepreneurship among the local youth and help them start a small-scale business venture of their own.

The program received overwhelming response from the local youth in Jawhar and surrounding areas… Selecting 20 candidates from 500+ applications was really tough :-) It was formally inaugurated by Shri, Dilip Gutte, Additional Collector, Palghar and Smt. Ayushi Singh, Project Officer, ITDP and SDO, Jawhar.

Our students, all aged between 18 and 30 years have numerous business ideas like poultry, tailoring, beauty parlor, grocery store, organic farming, dhaba, hardware store, Warli painting, solar power, ayurvedic medicine and more… It is our task to equip them with basic skills related to entrepreneurship…

The program has been created with “experiential learning” in mind. All the important concepts of entrepreneurship will be taught through group activities, case studies, customer interactions, field trips and much more… We hope that the students enjoy the program as much as they learn from it.

We will also be supporting our students in their respective ventures even after program is over… For the next 6 months, we will work with them so that are able to sustain their respective ventures in the long run.
