Empowering tribal women to prevent migration

After almost 5 months of training on #vocational skills and #entrepreneurship skills conducted by us, the 5 Self Help Groups based in Ganjad & Dhabon villages of the Palghar district of Maharashtra received grants from Government of Maharashtra to start their small scale business ventures

1. Sanitary pads (1 group)
2. Masala / papad / pickles (2 groups)
3. Patrawali (2 groups)

These women belong the Katkari community, one of the most backward and vulnerable groups in India…. We firmly believe that as the operations at these ventures stabilize, the migration of this community to nearby cities for better opportunities will stop.

A Big Milestone for NeevJivan Foundation!
