16 Vocations and counting....

It is our endeavor to create opportunities for sustainable livelihood for the tribal women & youth in these areas with the introduction of an alternate vocation (other than agriculture) in every family and thereby create an alternate source of livelihood.

The vocations taught by us are as follows -

Poultry Farming, Goat Rearing, Mushroom Cultivation, Vermi-composting, Strawberry cultivation, Masala, Papad & Pickle making, Agarbathi & candle making, Bakery, Sanitary pads, Paper bag making, Patrawali, Tailoring, Chiku Processing, Agarbathi Making, etc

The products are made by the tribal women in Jawhar and Dahanu talukas in Maharashtra. They are a group of extremely poor and vulnerable people who tend to migrate to the cities in search of livelihood opportunities for almost 8 months in a year.

This initiative is to create alternate sources of income and ensure a better quality of life for them and their families.

By supporting these women, you will not only helping in stopping their migration, but also prevent them from falling into debt traps and contribute to the education of their children.
